Go Green - Carshare

Go Green, Carshare - City Carshare vehicle photo

Carsharing is a variation on the traditional car renting service, where companies or car owners rent vehicles for shorter periods of time to customers who typically only have occasional need for a vehicle for local trips or errands. With carsharing, you can take on tasks such as moving furniture or grocery shopping without owning a vehicle. If you have a car, you can join a peer-to-peer carsharing organization to rent your vehicle when it is not in use. The list below includes peer-to-peer and commercial carsharing organizations from around the Bay Area:

Company Organization
Drive Now Company
Zipcar Company
City CarShare Company
Scoot Networks Company
Ucarshare Company
Enterprise CarShare Company
Hertz 24/7 Company
JustShareIt Peer-to-Peer
RelayRides Peer-to-Peer
Getaround Peer-to-Peer

Rideshare

Want to green your commute? Ridesharing is 2-6 people in a carpool or 7-15 people in a vanpool. It’s a green travel alternative because you help reduce the total number of cars on the road. You save time and money and the earth gets a breath of fresh air.
