KFOG KaBoom - Saturday, May 10 at 4pm

Join 511 in helping to celebrate KFOG’s 15th Annual KFOG KaBoom Saturday, May 10 at 4 p.m.

Each year approximately 350,000 spectators flock to San Francisco’s Piers 30/32 to witness the KFOG KaBoom spectacular fireworks show and concert.

So get a jump on the crowd! Use 511 to plan your KaBoom trip ahead of time. Below are some transportation suggestions for getting to KaBoom:

Take Transit
Use the 511 TakeTransit Trip PlannerSM and enter “KaBoom, San Francisco” as your destination.

Muni:

Due to the KaBoom concert and fireworks display, the 12-line will reroute away from The Embarcadero, beginning 7:00pm or possibly earlier, until clear. There will be extra rail shuttle service after the fireworks. The KT- and N-lines and route 108 may be subject to delays or large crowds. For more details click here.

BART:

BART will offer special event trains as needed, at the conclusion of KFOG KaBoom, including longer trains to the Bay Point and Dublin lines. For more information on BART’s special service to KaBoom click here.

Ferries:

Alameda/Oakland Ferry, Baylink Ferry and Golden Gate Ferry will be providing additional service to KaBoom. The ferries drop off in San Francisco at the Ferry Building. You can either walk approximately 1 mile to Piers 30/32 from there, or check out the TakeTransit Trip Planner for transit options and a local area map.

Caltrain:

Caltrain will provide special service to KFOG KaBoom concert and fireworks show.
Caltrain will expand capacity on trains 435, 437, and 441, departing San Jose at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. Check timetables for your specific station. Following the fireworks, Caltrain will operate its regular service, plus three special trains. For more information click here.

The ride down the Embarcadero along the Bay is beautiful! And, there are bike lanes on the Embarcadero. Use the 511 BikeMapperSM to find available bike routes to Piers 30 & 32. And, don’t forget, you can take your bike on the ferries and BART (please be courteous and don’t board crowded trains with your bike).
