Carpool and Vanpool Discounts
Carpools and vanpools must have a FasTrak Flex toll tag set to the number of people in the car to get toll discounts on express lanes. Learn more about FasTrak Flex.
- 3 or more person carpools and motorcycles travel toll-free on all Bay Area Express Lanes
- 2-person carpools* travel toll-free on the I-580 and I-680 express lanes and pay half-price tolls on the I-80, I-880, US-101 and SR-237 express lanes.
*2-person carpools in 2-seater vehicles travel toll-free on all Bay Area Express Lanes.
Income-Based Discounts & Benefits
Income-qualified drivers residing in the 9-County Bay Area pay half-price tolls to use the I-880 and I-80 Express Lanes. Income-qualified drivers residing in San Mateo County receive additional transportation benefits. Visit the links below to learn if you qualify. Application required.
