Request a Carpool-to-BART Parking Permit

BART is Transitioning to a new App-Based Carpool Program

BART is rolling out a new app-based carpool program that will make it easier than ever to pay for a parking spot at BART.  The program increases your chances of scoring a parking spot at high demand lots because it allows carpoolers to park in the permit sections, which fill later and have more availability.  The program is currently offered at Dublin/Pleasanton, Orinda, Antioch, Warm Springs, Daly City, Colma, South San Francisco, San Bruno, and Millbrae stations, and will roll out to more stations later next year.  Find out more at www.bart.gov/carpool

How to Qualify

511 Paper Carpool Permits are still valid at many BART stations, but BART plans to phase them out beginning next year. If you would like to request a paper permit, please enter your information below and select a qualifying station from the dropdown menu.

Carpoolers using paper permits need to park in dedicated carpool parking areas at select BART stations. To qualify:

  • Join a carpool.
  • Submit a Carpool-to-BART permit request (below).
  • Display permits for each carpool member in the vehicle parked in the BART station lot.
  • Carpool to BART parking permits are valid for one year (or until the program ends).
