Carpool occupancy: 2 or more people
FasTrak:

Solo drivers – You must have a standard FasTrak or FasTrak Flex toll tag (set to '1') to pay to use the lane.

Carpools or other toll-free vehicles - You must have a FasTrak Flex toll tag (set to '2' or '3+') to avoid being charged.
2+ carpools travel toll free on I-580 Express Lanes. As of March 31, 2023, solo-occupant Clean Air Vehicles pay half price tolls. See: "Am I Toll Exempt?"
